The Packer position is responsible for the packaging of frozen orders. Order packaging is done throughout the week in correspondence to multiple types of events, shipping, deliveries, etc. Attention to detail and quality are a must to ensure our customers receive the best service and product. A reliable individual who can pivot between task and work in a fast paced setting. 

Standard Duties:

• Conduct all duties and actions in a safe and secure manner, following safety guidelines as well as all company policies and procedures
• Be able to work in a diverse team, stay consistently professional and always follow safety standards

Position Duties:

• Come to work on time and ready to work - uniformed and properly equipped - apron, non-slip shoes, hairnet, gloves - ready to clock in within 3 minute window of your assigned start time
• Acute attention to detail
• Be able to work independently and follow directions given
• Identify spoiled or unattractive product, alerting direct supervisor
• Identify and pack correct products and quantity base on customer's orders, using correct boxes and packaging materials depending on type of event, etc. 
• Working at an efficient pace and packaging products with pride
• Cleaning and sanitizing before and after shift
• Prepare boxes and inventory for future orders
• Taking regular inventory of products, reporting as required
• Complete an EOD report at the end of each shift
• Organizing and consolidating items on speed rack, pulling items for orders, packing and organizing the freezer as need. Other various duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the US per state & federal law
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to get to work on time for schedule shifts
• Possess or obtain valid permits needed for positions, keeping current throughout duration of employment
• 1 + year experience working in a food setting *Preferred
• Ability to work in cold settings for extended periods of time
• Ability to work indecently or in a team setting, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to use cleaning chemicals properly and safely
• Ability to learn, retain information and follow instructions in English
• Have reliable transportation
• Follow all company procedures and protocols

Working Environment & Physical Demands

• Work in a bakery/kitchen setting, which includes exposure to high amounts of flour, spices, meat scents, high temperatures, relative humidity, continuous receptive movement, heavy leniting minimum of 50lbs, and use of industrial size bakery and kitchen equipment
• Work in the kitchen setting, which includes spatial awareness of self and co-workers using large equipment and sharp utensils around you
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 300lbs in all directions, left cup to 50lbs and maneuvering heavy, tall cars as needed safely
• Work on feet for the duration of shift
• Verbally warn people of your presence to meet safety protocols
• Follow all newly established company policies and protocols
• Lengths of time spent working in cooler and freezer
• Work with a variety of packaging tools including tape gun, boxes, knives, ice/gel packs, etc.
