A Family owned Russian bakery since 1992, Piroshky Piroshky has been serving Seattle from its historic Pike Place location for almost three decades. In recent years, our company has grown to multiple locations, serving multiple areas and a Food truck! Our bakeries are focused on bringing our fresh handmade pastries to Seattle's locals. As we expand, we are seeking creative, passionate, and loyal individuals to join our team.
Starting Base Pay for Baker: $21.00/hour
Average Tips per Hour: $5.00/8.00/hour

Description:
Baker is responsible for producing and baking in-house products to daily par levels, as specified by manager and store needs. Additional responsibilities include, loading and pushing delveiry racks/ carts to and from offsite storage and safely navigating and working alongside floor shared with front of house.
The lead baker is trained in all production roles at the bakery, including production, recieving orders, proper food rotation and organization, accurate par ordering and adjustments as well as taking on a lead role in the initial and ongoing training of bakers. The lead baker plays a key role in ensuring high quality and safe daily production goals are met by production team.
Position Duties (Baker):
Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the US.
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to get to work on time for scheduled shifts.
Possess and keep current all necessary permits/licenses for the position.
2 years of baking experience (Baker)
3 years of baking experience required. (Lead Baker)
1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred (Lead Baker)
Working Environment:
Work in the bakery setting, which includes exposure to high amount of flour, spices, and meat smells.
Must be comfortable with the different working environments the job entails (high volume customers,
crowded areas, basement area, etc.)
Must be comfortable working in front of the public, often displaying your work processes to onlookers
while being photographed and engaged in conversation with the public/customers
Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including
tight and confined spaces.
Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks and frequently moving from one worksite to another.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 300 pounds in all directions, lifting up to 50 pounds and
maneuvering heavy, tall carts as needed safely.
Constantly communicating loudly, effectively, and safely with others to exchange information, warning
other staff of their presence and movements to meet safety practice standards.
Be able to exchange safety communication and direction from other staff while working in a loud
environment.
Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Frequently operating machinery and oven equipment.
Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Low temperatures.
