BACKFLOW INSPECTION / REPAIR APPRENTICE

Backflow Paradise is a local, family owned and operated business that inspects, repairs, and maintains backflows and fire safety systems. 

We are looking for an apprentice who is willing to learn and become a Certified Backflow Technician. Ideal applicants don't mind getting dirty, can problem solve, have good communication skills, and can create positive interactions with our clients in the field

**Please note, you will be expected to take a course and pass a state exam to become certified within the first 6 months of working with us

As an apprentice, you will learn how to:

• Conduct backflow inspections at existing sites, renovations, and new constructions
• Perform troubleshooting and emergency repairs and some plumbing of/or related to backflow assemblies as necessary.
• Identify code and other non-compliant issues and make recommendations on repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Utilize and enter accurate information into field software to report inspection results.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License, with good driving record and willing to drive to multiple job sites each day
• Basic experience with plumbing or other mechanical systems is preferred
• Able and willing to use apps and software in the field
• Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within cabinets, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
• Organized, systematic and adherent to deadlines.
