Position Summary:
Patient Coordinator works with healthcare providers, nurses, and other medical professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication among the healthcare team.
Duties include but are not limited to answering the phone, responding to emails, greeting patients, managing the schedule, verifying insurance and handling the patient flow. Previous medical office preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Correspondence and follow up with healthcare providers - Request information needed from referring office prior to patient scheduling. Maintain positive communication with referring offices.
- Electronic scheduling, Confirming appointments with patients.
- Preparing charts -Maintaining organized, neat, and accurate patient charts with all pertinent patient demographic
- Verify patient insurance authorization.
- Correspondence with billing company and follow-up to ensure information accuracy - review for correctness and completeness as well as handle shifting priorities.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Radiologist, Technologist and Manager.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university -preferred
- 2 years related medical office experience and/or training preferred.
- Familiar with CPT procedures code
