Prepares and reviews procurements and contract documents in compliance with the applicable
Education Code, Public Contract Codes, board rules and internal policies and procedures.
Prepares and develops bid packages, scopes of work and solicitation documents, and negotiates fees
Evaluates bids and proposals and make awards based on the evaluations
Issue purchase orders, task orders, and work orders
Utilize systems and software such as SAP and Excel
Meet and discuss procurements with requestors to update specifications, scopes of work and requirements.
Monitors contract compliance and negotiates amendments and/or change orders
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably related to business or public administration, law or a related field.
Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may compensate experience on a year for- year basis.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years full time paid professional experience in procurement, experience in related goods, general and professional service contracts, including one (1) year experience in negotiation, development and administration of solicitation documents including RFQa, RFPs, and IFB.
Knowledge/Skills
Candidates shall be proficient in procurement terminology and purchasing compliance
