Program Lead

Salary Range:  $40 - $55 hour

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess projects for the Canyon Creek Campsite.
  • Performs supervisory lead and advisor duties to lower-level program and project management staff, including providing training and guidance on daily priorities and operational tasks
  • Provides program level oversight and controlling check and balance function for scope, schedule and budget of Canyon Creek Campsite and its capital improvement projects
  • Identifies funding allocation for projects, including appropriation for: planning, design, environmental costs, testing, inspection, construction, DSA and construction contingency
  • Reviews and approves EAC’s and impact statements (Cost and Time)
  • Manages the closeout phase of the project upon completion
  • Provides program-level reporting to Program Controls
  • Coordinates and responds to BOC inquiries on the Canyon Creek projects
  • Reviews and responds to Board Members’ and other stakeholder inquiries
  • Coordinates projects with Local District Facilities Directors for execution strategies
  • Produces accurate and timely reporting of projects’ status and updates to Executive Management staff throughout various phases of development or life cycle
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 14 years full time paid professional construction program management experience preferably for education facilities or public works projects
  • 5 years of the above experience must be managing large programs with projects having construction values in excess of $10 million

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified project and/or the Collaborative for High Performing School (CHPS)
  • Experience in Formal Construction Partnering
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process 

Required Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or University with a bachelor's degree preferably Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

OR

  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, provided that graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent education proficiency is met
