Bookkeeper for a Leading Construction Company in CIPP Industry

Our team of experts specializes in Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, and we are looking for a bookkeeper to join our growing family. 

Position Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support our growing business and contribute to our innovative approach in this specialized field

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. 
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, preparing comprehensive reports for management to aid in strategic decision-making. 
• Manage and reconcile all bank accounts and ledgers, ensuring accuracy in transactions and reporting. 
• Coordinate and prepare budget forecasts, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions as needed. 
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. 
• Manage payroll processing, including the maintenance of employee records and the processing of employee benefits. 
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and a comprehensive chart of accounts. 
• Track and maintain inventory records, ensuring accurate costing of inventory items. 
• Liaise with external auditors for annual audits, preparing all necessary documentation. 
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. 
• Enhance financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction or related industry. 
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. 
• Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, particularly Excel. 
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. 
• Relevant certification; Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping, Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 2 Certificate in Manual and Computerized Bookkeeping. (e.g., CMA or CPA) is a plus.
