Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

As a Dental Assistant at Rising Smiles Dentistry, you'll be an integral part of our patient-focused practice. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Patient Preparation: Preparing patients for dental procedures with a caring and empathetic approach.

• Infection Control: Ensuring the sterilization and sanitation of equipment, setting up instrument trays, and preparing supplies to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Assisting in Dental Procedures: Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during dental operations and procedures, contributing to the smooth and efficient flow of our practice.

• Emergency Response: Assisting in the management of medical and dental emergencies when necessary.

• Patient Care: Providing excellent patient care, offering guidance on dental hygiene, oral health, and plaque reduction.

• Record Keeping: Collecting and recording medical and dental histories, as well as vital signs of patients.

• Postoperative Care: Following postoperative care instructions provided by the dentist.

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and caring for dental equipment, including taking dental X-rays.

• Inventory Management: Keeping track of dental equipment inventory and ordering necessary supplies.

Dental Assistant Requirements:

To thrive in this role at Rising Smiles Dentistry, you should have:

• Certification: Dental X-ray certification is a must.

• Computer Skills: Experience with various computer duties.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Bonus Skills: If you can perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing, that's a plus!
