Dental Hygienist

 We are a 2 doctor private practice, in the Phoenix Biltmore area. We’re looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our fun and friendly team! 

2-3 days a week, 7am-3pm Monday’s and Wednesday’s and some Fridays (our office is closed the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month) (days of the week could be flexible for the right candidate).

If you’re a friendly team player looking for a day or 2 per week, we may be the office for you. 

You’ll complete initial patient screenings, x-rays and conduct dental cleanings. Job seekers should have incredible customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent dental services.

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities

• Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable
• Clean dental instruments to ensure everything is sterilized properly
• Perform preliminary dental examinations
• Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
• Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages
• Provide post-operative health education to patients
• Take x-ray images of the patients’ teeth
• Work with dentists to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease
• Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history
• Schedule follow-up hygiene appointments
• Perform iTero scans as needed

Dental Hygienist Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in registered dental hygiene program.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Has a good standing dental hygienist license in Arizona
• Current CPR certification
• Anesthesia certification preferred
• Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
• Active team player
