This role is the backbone of production scheduling, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery. You will translate demand signals into executable plans, maintain master data integrity in Syteline, and drive cross-functional alignment to meet customer commitments while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
•Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule in Syteline using finite capacity planning.
•Run daily/weekly MRP cycles to generate purchase and production orders.
•Analyze MRP exception messages (reschedule-in/out, excess, shortages) and take corrective actions.
•Balance workload across work centers to prevent bottlenecks and maximize throughput.
Syteline System Mastery
•Serve as the primary Syteline power user for planning modules (MPS, MRP, Forecasting, Shop Floor Control).
•Configure and maintain planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizing, scrap rates, yield).
•Build and manage Planning Bills, Phantom BOMs, and Configurable Items in Syteline.
•Create and optimize Syteline reports/dashboards (e.g., Open Order Status, Capacity Load, Inventory Turns) using Power BI.
Demand & Supply Alignment
•Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to validate demand forecasts.
•Use Syteline’s Forecast Consumption logic to align customer orders with forecasts.
•Lead SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) meetings to reconcile supply/demand gaps.
•Partner with FP&A to optimize financial performance of the master schedule
Inventory Optimization
•Maintain target inventory levels using DDMRP principles or min/max logic in Syteline.
•Identify slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory.
•Partner with Procurement/Sourcing to optimize supplier scheduling via Syteline’s Planning Schedule Releases (Kanban/PSRs).
Continuous Improvement
•Identify and implement process improvements within Syteline (e.g., automated workflows, custom alerts).
•Train key personnel on Syteline best practices.
•Participate in Syteline upgrades, testing, and validation.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment (discrete, make-to-order/engineering-to-order preferred).
•Advanced proficiency in Infor Syteline (v9, v10, or CloudSuite Industrial):
•Hands-on experience with MPS, MRP, Capacity Planning, and Shop Floor modules.
•Ability to configure planning rules, item masters, and routings.
•SQL query writing or Power BI experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills
•Experience with lean manufacturing (Kanban, pull systems, SMED).
•Knowledge of finite capacity scheduling and theory of constraints.
•Familiarity with Syteline Multi-Site or CloudSuite Industrial (CSI).
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Key Competencies
•Data-Driven Decision Making – Uses Syteline analytics to drive actions.
•Cross-Functional Leadership – Aligns Production, Purchasing, and Engineering.
