CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Tempe (1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281) - On-site required
Shift: Full time, day shift
Bonus: Eligible for Quarterly Shop Bonus, up to $300 per quarter!
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of CNC machinery to include Preventative Maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and collaborating with other team members to optimize production efficiency. Keep records of operations, production, and maintenance. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing production equipment
- Performing electrical and mechanical work
- Diagnosing and fixing machine malfunctions
- Utilizing diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and infrared scanning equipment
- Inspecting the condition of equipment according to warranty agreements
- Ordering replacement parts as needed
- Troubleshooting hydraulics, electronics and software
- Working with other contractors and maintenance personnel
- Tracking and logging work orders
- Conducting testing, and adjusting systems and parts
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
- Making yearly PM schedule and performing all level of PMs based on the schedule
- In charge of all utility equipment AC, compressors, bay doors and working with contractors, requesting quotes, etc.
Qualifications:
- Experience in CNC equipment maintenance and repair
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Experience setting up, programming, and operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment and systems such as, but not limited to, cranes, CNC machines, robotics, welding/cutting, saws, that involve electrical systems and components, plumbing, hydraulics, and compressed air
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly
- Ability to replace defective parts as needed
- Ability to optimize production efficiency by coordinating maintenance and repairs
- Experience in Total Productive Maintenance processes and procedures
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or trade school.
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance. Additional related education may be substituted for work experience
- Strong math and computer skills
- Experience with manual labor
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects, up to 35 lbs. More with assistance.
- Ability to stand or walk the majority of the shift. Bend, kneel, stoop, squat as needed for tasks.
