Warehouse Lead 

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Shift: Full time, Day Shift - exempt

Bonus:  Eligible for Quarterly Bonus Program, up to $300 per quarter!

Warehouse Lead Summary:

The Warehouse Lead will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and help to oversee and improve warehouse operational processes and procedures.  Responsible for performing all day-to-day functions associated with general warehouse duties to include: shipping, receiving, packaging and inventory control with a focus on procedural adherence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
  • Maintain inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and traceability of all stock.
  • Lead and mentor warehouse/shipping staff, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory, cycle counts and warehouse procedures.
  • Receive shipments by comparing purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure receipt of goods, identify damaged items and report/record any discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout 
  • Responsible for engaging in and promoting safe work behaviors in a manner that is consistent with all safety guidelines and programs
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
  • 3 + years' experience in warehouse operations, distribution or inventory control positions preferably in the Aerospace industry
  • Ability to communicate and understand instructions as it relates to general warehouse practices
  • Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong math, verbal, and literacy skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment in the execution of the job functions
  • Ability to understand and follow oral or written communications
  • Communicate, understand, and perform complex tasks with minimal supervision

 Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time throughout the work day
  • Ability to work on your feet throughout shift with complete range of motion
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
  • Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise 
  • The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
