Production Control Coordinator

(Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing setting)

Location: CMI Group -  3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Shift: Full time, day shift - On-site required, not a remote position.

Bonus:  Eligible for Quarterly Shop Bonus Plan, up to $300 per quarter!

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and execution of the daily production schedule and manufacturing plan based on program schedule, customer ask date (request date) and administers communication professionally to operations teams, functional support, and customers when required. 
  • Manages production schedules for multiple programs. Provides Production visibility to daily production demand, and works to ensure scheduled completion dates align with actual production due dates. 
  • Evaluates product scope and creates tactical schedules using existing systems. Understands the scope of work released to Production Control for management and execution.
  • When schedule recovery is necessary, identifies and analyzes solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling method to support customer needs, 
  • Works closely with master scheduling and production control team to determine the needs and constraints of the manufacturing shop floor, technicians and schedules work accordingly.
  • Monitors status and provides regular updates to customers on upcoming production priorities.
  • Updates visual management boards with current job/program status (as applicable). 
  • Performs schedule and scope variance analysis and reviews MRP execution.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgement

Qualifications:

  • Passion for our mission and vision and business growth. 
  • BA/BS Production Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years recent production control planning and scheduling experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Read and understands technical documents including blueprints and schematic
  • Able to work full time schedule, including overtime.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Desired:

  • Manufacturing lead,  program management experience 
  • Experience in precision machining environment
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.
  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrates understanding and is able to apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen
