POSITION TITLE: Machine Shop Floor Coordinator / Expediter

 Full time, day shift position

Location: Priest & Broadway (Tempe)

Eligible for Quarterly Shop Bonus Plan!

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize, schedule, and review work for assigned cell(s).
  • Split jobs on the floor based on production & customer needs.
  • Releasing & Freezing jobs based on production & customer needs.
  • Reports to the Production Planner any material changes or substitutions, or shortages.
  • Advises management of status of work in process, material availability and potential production problems to ensure that materials are available as needed
  • Participates in inter-departmental meetings as needed
  • Support various departments as needed
  • Accurately complete paperwork & input into computer MRP.
  • Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing/email.
  • Work independently with little direction.
  • Meet schedules and time lines.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or 5+yrs related experience supply chain or production environment
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, quality basics, engineering flows, etc.
  • Computer Skills – Office & MRP

Other experience that includes:  

  • Aerospace experience preferred.
  • Inventory and/or warehousing experience
  • Personal drive for process improvements

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights.
