A/P Specialist

On-Site Location: CMI Group, 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (This is an in-person, on-site position)

Requirement: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR

Duties

  • Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for the use in maintaining accounts payable records
  • Assemble invoices to be completed for payment using 3-way P.O. matching with packing slips and invoices
  • Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
  • Process check requests
  • Maintain copies of invoices or correspondence necessary for files
  • Clarify any questionable items, prices or receiving signatures
  • Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments and respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Calculate and take all discounts, when applicable, on total invoices.
  • Reconciling work after completion and prior to approval
  • Assist with other projects and audits as needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CONCUR payment system.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Must have strong work ethics
  • Must be able to follow standard policies and procedures
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written.
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
