CNC Saw Operator
Eligible for quarterly bonus plan, up to $300 per quarter!
Location: 40th St & Southern
Full time, day shift position - Starts at $17.00 per hour
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
- Operate CNC saw for machine shop warehouse operations.
- Kit/Bin material and deliver jobs to production as required.
- Ensures material meets quality specifications (grade, size, etc)
- Will be required to drive a forklift.
- Offloads and stacks material in accordance with established procedures
- Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
- Performs other duties in saw department as assigned.
Saw Operator Skills and abilities:
- Must successfully complete Forklift Driver certification process.
- Ability to work in a safe manner and follow established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Demonstrate ability to use and operate dangerous equipment
- Punctual and reliable
- Looks for ways to improve productivity and department results
Saw Operator Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months experience using saws or similar equipment is preferred.
- No minimum forklift diving experience is required; however, some experienced is preferred.
- Authorized to work in the US
- 18 yrs or older
- Ability to work full time + OT (As needed)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Saw Operator Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
- Requires bending, squatting, reaching.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50-75 pounds.
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
