Operations & Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary of Operations and Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager:

The Operations and CI manager will oversee and coordinate all operational, organizational, and continuous improvement activities at the CMI Group South facilities.

On Site Position / Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Key Responsibilities & areas of focus:

  • Daily leadership of workload, work balance, and operational output
  • Coordination of shift changeover and daily critical part expediting
  • Inspire and lead operational team for optimal performance through incentives and encouraging leadership
  • Analyze, investigate, and develop process improvements where shortfalls and constraints are realized
  • Communicate improvement plans with team, peers, and CMI leadership
  • Implement robust training, awareness, and skill development of continuous improvement and LEAN principles
  • Drive productivity, OEE, and quality improvements per operating plan targets

Education and/or Experience:

  • 10 years in operational general management, site management, or large operational management experience
  • B.S. in Engineering, operational leadership, or related field
  • 10 years in demonstrated Continuous Improvement, LEAN, or OPEX in an Aerospace and Defense, or similar low mix high volume manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of an organization
