We are seeking 3 Entry Level Machinist Apprentice to join our team at Cassavant Machining (Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing).
Currently offering $1,000 bonus, paid after 6 months of employment + Quarterly Shop Bonus Plan.
Location: 3617 E. La Salle St. Phoenix, AZ 85040
RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine maintenance
· Daily check of the fluids of the machines
· Follow the standard form – fills the daily report
· Reports any and all discrepancies on the floor to the supervisor (ex: leaks, tripping hazards, etc.)
· Communicates any job related issues / questions (parts, fixtures, program, inspection, etc.) to lead person for resolution / clarification
· Prepare the kitting of parts for the next job
· Maintains a clean and organized workspace or specific projects
Operational excellence/Setup support
· Preparation of the kitting of parts/fixtures/tooling/gaging to include removal of such items from the area after operation
· Company specific handling & FOD requirements
· Support training activities
· Assist and prepare document within Microsoft Office
· Support in layout organization to include moving equipment, shelving, and taping
Basic Qualifications:
· Authorized to work in the US
· 18 yrs or older
· Ability to work full time + OT (As needed)
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
· Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
· Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
· Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
· Requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing.
· Requires the ability to lift 40-50lbs occasionally and 25-30 lbs frequently.
