The Integrex operator will be the primary person responsible for operation of a Mazak Integrex machine tool. The person will be responsible for the safe operation, on time production, and quality of manufacturing.
Key areas of knowledge and responsibilities will include:
- 2+ years of experience working directly with Mazak Integrex machining centers.
- Implement machining by understanding work orders, drawings, engineering models, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Responsible for the setup, tooling preparation, and operation of work orders schedule for the specific machining center.
- Programs the Integrex machine by entering code, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and other inputs. Calculates requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Sets-up the machine by installing and adjusting various chucks and fixtures, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers, and indicating heads.
- Loads and unloads raw and finished work pieces.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, conforming to all provided engineering instructions.
- Maintains specifications by observing all machining operations, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs on paper travelers and in operational MRP system.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
