Grind Machinist (Night Shift) - Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Our group is looking to hire machinists at our SOUTH Phoenix location!

Cassavant Machining LLC - Defense & Aerospace Manufacturing (South Phoenix - 40th St & Southern)

This is a night shift position - 3:15 pm - 2am (Monday - Thursday, Friday OT)

  • 5+ years ID/OD grinding experience preferred in an aerospace work environment
  • Familiarity with Toyoda, Okamoto and Heald grinders
  • Able to work independently and stay on task – operate 2 machines regularly
  • Proficient with standard types of inspection equipment – Indicating Micrometers, Bore Gages, Sunnen Gage, Test Indicators etc
  • Able to work in tolerances of .0002-.0005
  • CNC experience preferred but not required
  • Complete all required paperwork properly – inspection reports, spc, job travelers etc
  • Abilty to problem solve and communicate process improvement suggestions with management

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or trade school
  • Must be at least 18 years old and Authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand majority of the shift
