Manufacturing Engineer Manager

 

This engineering leader requires 10 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry to support legacy and new business awards. Will be responsible for meeting the production forecast by building processes, scheduling team work load, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Analytical ability, engineering fundamentals, organization & communication skills, and attention to detail are of paramount importance. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated engineering leader with extensive expertise in CNC manufacturing equipment. 

 

Responsibilities:

·   ·        Lead an engineering team to develop new products and reprocess existing products.

·        Use lean tools to improve legacy products, and new products introduction.

·        Extensive experience in Process and routings for the manufacturing of complicated machining parts.

·        Strong experience in tooling design.

·        Schedule team work load and prioritize goals to meet key shop metrics.

·        Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in a timely manner.

·        Maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield.

·        Ensure consistency in standards and documentation. Monitor and ensure compliance.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Basic Qualifications:

·        Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

·        10 years related manufacturing experience, Aerospace is required.

·        5+ years management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

·        Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput.

·        In-depth understanding of mechanical and standardized processes.

·        Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.

·        Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

 

 

Other experience that includes: 

·        Customer experience with Honeywell, Woodward, Raytheon, & Northrop Grumman is preferred

 

Preferred Skills:

·        Solidworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft project

·        Strong knowledge in CNC programming
