We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented team member to become our Front Office Receptionist. Qualified candidates will possess the following experience, qualities, knowledge, and competencies:
- Knowledge of dentistry and dental codes
- Dental software knowledge (Dentrix)
- Present a professional image (both in-person and over the phone)
- Have professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Perform tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and within specified periods
- Be punctual and customer service oriented
- Greet guests in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner
- Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule appointments in accordance with office guidelines
- Ensure that all patient appointments are confirmed
- Post charges and payments accurately in patient accounts
- Assist patients with the completion of paperwork
- Notify back office staff of each patient’s arrival
- Ensure that all new patient appointments have a referral source attached
- Accurately complete insurance benefit breakdowns
- Confirm receipt of lab cases two days prior to the patient’s appointment
- Ensure that all patients due for recall or continuation of treatment are scheduled for an appointment at the appropriate time
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front office environment
- Provide assistance to the Business Manager in performing front office tasks
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other pertinent laws or regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, HR policies and practices)
- Other duties as assigned
