POSITION SUMMARY
The Dental Assistant at Burns Dentistry is a key member of the team, working closely with our dentists to ensure a dynamic and memorable patient experience. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care through the preparation of the treatment room, instruments and materials, and assisting the dental providers as needed. The Dental Assistant is the patient’s advocate throughout their dental experience, providing meaningful patient feedback with compassion.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Schedule patient appointments, accommodating for potential scheduling conflicts
- Prepare dental materials and equipment for the scheduled treatments
- Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment inventory, and other ancillary duties
- Assists with patient management during dental procedures
- Ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice, which may include travel to other locations, with a positive approach

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Required))
- General Dentistry knowledge (Required); CDA Certification (Preferred)
- X-Ray Certification (Required)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Minimum 2yrs of Dental Assistant experience (Preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
- Position may require travel to and from field sites to monitor the status of multiple projects
