MARKETING DIRECTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY 

Our growing dental practice is seeking a Marketing Director to oversee our company’s promotion and advertising efforts to drive sales and build brand awareness. The Marketing Director’s responsibilities include but are not limited to developing an overall marketing plan, approving campaigns, and measuring the return on investment of various advertising methods.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

• Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth by securing new accounts
• Supervise a marketing team, including building, hiring, training, workloads, schedules and deadlines
• Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations

• Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies

• Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market
• Compile regular reports of campaign performance and results
• Work with different departments within Burns Dentistry to develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current clients
• Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts customers to the product or service
• Develop marketing strategies for new products or services that comply with current company standards

• Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

• Ability to recognize trends and stay ahead of them
• Proficient with analysis and design software
• Knowledge of internet marketing campaigns
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types as well as other departments, vendors and clients.
• Knowledge of finance, especially expense management and profit and loss statements, is desirable (preferred)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Communications or Business is preferred
• A sharp focus on your goals and a belief that your daily, weekly and monthly activities will help you achieve them
• Ability to effectively design and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy
• The ability to transition seamlessly among projects of varying scale, audience, format and distribution channel
• A deep understanding of everything social/digital/tv/print
• Desire and ability to learn about new media platforms that will help grow our brand
• At least 3 years in a marketing role, preferably leading a small team
• Previous experience with Hubspot and Google Suites (preferred)
• Previous experience in the dental industry (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time 
• Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
• Position may require travel to and from field sites to monitor the status of multiple projects
