Dental Hygiene Assistant

13909 W Camino Del Sol 102 Sun City West, AZ 85375 • Healthcare • Full-Time

Salary Range:  $16.00 - $18.00 hour


The Hygiene Assistant at Burns Dentistry is a key role in providing exceptional patient care, working closely with our dentists and hygienists. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care through the preparation of the treatment room, instruments and providing patient education. The Hygiene Assistant is the patient’s advocate throughout their dental experience, providing value-added patient feedback and resources, with compassion and respect.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Create a positive and individualized experience for each patient 
  • Build rapport with patients to ensure a memorable smile
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment for the scheduled treatments 
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment inventory, and other ancillary duties
  • Assist with patient management during dental procedures
  • Complete instrument cleaning & sterilization, post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
  • Gather patient testimonials

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Required)
  • X-Ray Certification (Required) 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check (Required)
  • 1 year of Dental Assisting experience (Preferred)

  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time
