Dental Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dental Assistant at Burns Dentistry is a key member of the team, working closely with our dentists to ensure a dynamic and memorable patient experience. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care through the preparation of the treatment room, instruments and materials, and assisting the dental providers as needed. The Dental Assistant is the patient’s advocate throughout their dental experience, reinventing the patient  experience through meaningful interactions.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Create a positive and individualized experience for each patient 

  • Build rapport with patients to ensure a memorable smile
  • Schedule patient appointments, accommodating for potential scheduling conflicts
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment for the scheduled treatments 
  • Function as a treatment coordinator, preparing and presenting treatment plan to patients 
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment inventory, and other ancillary duties
  • Assists with patient management during dental procedures
  • Proactively support team members and pods

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Required))
  • X-Ray Certification (Required) 
  • 2yrs of Dental Assistant experience (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time 
  • Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
  • Position may require travel to and from field sites to monitor the status of multiple projects
