Salary Range:  $21.00 - $25.00 hour

Elite Construction, Inc is looking to hire experienced traveling Millwrights Mechanic to join our growing company for a job in our local shop and one job out of town.

The job out of town for two weeks. You will travel together in a company truck.  The shop job will be local in our Valdosta shop!! 

 Pay travel time to the job and back.

Per Diem paid daily 

Hotel provided by company 



We are looking for individuals who are eager to strive to be successful and dependable. Project could turn into a full time position with our company. 

Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.
 Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in establishments.

The candidate will have a heavy mechanical background and will be familiar with setting, leveling, and aligning pumps, and fans. Must have a working knowledge of machine repair, hydraulic systems, and be able to fabricate and build from prints. Must be able to pass a drug test. Driver's License is required. Out of town travel is involved. Includes daily per Diem.

  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment MUST be able to follow safety policies and procedures, and provide safety in performance and best practices in manufacturing
  • Performs tasks related to welding, such as thermal cutting and grinding.
  • Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
  • Installs modifications to equipment, or structures.
  • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed equipment to include pumps, seals, blowers and specialty chemical plant processing equipment.
  • Operate forklift, man lift & hand tools including drills, hacksaws, wrenches and grinders.
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
  • Install and repair various equipment and components
  • Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
  • PIPE, TIG, Welding

  •  
    • Repair machinery in a timely manner.
    • Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in findings solutions and making necessary repairs.
    • Identify shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
    • Identify and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.

  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST !!
  • Must be OK with traveling with the company
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in vertical mills, or lathes, and must be able to do own set ups with minimal training.
  • Experience in machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast aluminum, cast iron.
  • Must have own measuring tools and common hand tools,
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and up time.
  • Knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets and precision alignment of motors and couplings.
  • Must be able to operate hoisting and lifting devices, set-up, and repair of machinery. Adjust machinery and repair and/or replace defective parts.
  • Must be a self-starter and require little or no supervision.

Must be familiar with OSHA 

Pay depends on experience 

Must be okay with being out of town two weeks at a time 

$ 21.00-$25.00 per hour
