Immediate position available for an experienced Stand Up Forklift, and Reach Truck operators to join our team in a warehouse facility. We are looking for dependable, energetic employees with great attitudes and who take pride in their work to join the team. Experience with warehouse scanners and freight handling is required. Description:
The company is looking for an experienced full-time/year-round reach truck operator to work in a safe and efficient manner. This position is responsible for operating the standing reach truck to stack and move freight to and from vehicles and containers. This is a 40 hour a week position that works the night shift (4pm – 12:30 am). This position requires a minimum of 1 year of Reach Truck or Stand-Up Fork Lift experience is required. Must be drug-free and have reliable transportation. Must be able to read, decode and decipher freight coding. Must be able to use a scanner with freight.
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and operate high reach, stand-up forklift, Reach trucks and motorized pallet jacks with knowledge of packaging specs and requirements to ensure safe movement of product to the destination
- Properly select/load/inspect and sort product inventory per supervisor direction
- Perform label and product inspections with high accuracy to ensure the integrity of pallet movement and food safety guidelines.
- Responsible for the breakdown and rebuilding of pallets of products
- Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion, assisting with the general clean up of the warehouse throughout the shift
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to the size of freight and destination;
- Read, decode, and decipher freight coding in order to expedite freight movement and tracing process;
- Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests;
- Label, weigh, and sort freights;
- Responsible for inventory, rotation, and inspection of freight held in the warehouse;
- Follow safety procedures and properly use safety equipment; and
- Any other task as required.
Must have a positive attitude and have a willingness to learn new things. Must be able to pass background with clean driving record and valid license.
Must be able to work in Adel
Shift start time: $4:00 pm 12:00pm(2nd shift)
Monday - Friday (Saturday's will be scheduled as needed)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 1 year operating a Stand-Up Counterbalance Forklift or High Reach with experience working with racking systems
- Experience with RF scan gun preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in English (verbal/written/reading)
- Ability to read and understand daily work instructions and procedures
Must be able to use basic math skills
Ability to life up to 50lbs +repeatedly through the day or night
$13.50-$14.00 per hour
Essential Physical Requirements/work environment:
The successful candidate should possess the ability to:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
- Requires repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching; and
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years of Reach Truck/Stand-Up Fork Lift experience required;
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; and
- The ability to pass drug and background screening is required.
Experience:
- Warehouse Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Electric Pallet Jack: 1 year (Preferred)
- Stand -Up Fork Lift : 1 year ( required)
Shift Availability:
Pay will depend on experience
