Overview: The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in the dealership's financial operations by assisting customers in securing financing options for vehicle purchases and providing protection products to protect their investment. This position requires a blend of financial expertise, sales acumen, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
Responsibilities:
1. Financing Assistance:
· Guide customers through the financing process, explaining terms, interest rates, and repayment options.
· Evaluate credit applications and determine appropriate financing solutions tailored to customers' needs and financial profiles.
· Collaborate with financial institutions to secure competitive loan rates and terms for customers.
· Ensure all financing paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with legal and dealership policies.
2. Protection Products:
· Present and explain available protection plans and coverages (e.g., vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, tire and wheel coverage) to customers.
· Assist customers in selecting appropriate coverages based on their vehicle and individual preferences.
· Coordinate with protection providers to facilitate the purchase and activation of policies.
· Ensure customers understand the benefits and terms of protection products, addressing any questions or concerns.
3. Sales Support:
· Work closely with the sales team to provide seamless customer service throughout the vehicle purchase process.
· Assist sales associates with working deals to meet customer needs and budget constraints.
· Offer support and training to sales staff regarding financing options and finance processes as well as compliance.
4. Compliance and Regulations:
· Stay up-to-date with federal and state regulations governing automotive financing and insurance practices.
· Ensure all transactions comply with legal requirements and dealership policies.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to financing and protection transactions.
5. Customer Service:
· Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and building rapport with customers.
· Foster long-term relationships with customers by offering ongoing support and assistance with financing and protection needs.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred. (Is this something we want to have as a requirement?)
· AFIP Certification preferred
· Previous experience in automotive financing, insurance sales, or dealership F&I operations preferred.
· Strong understanding of financial concepts, including lending practices, interest rates, and credit analysis.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency with finance and insurance software applications.
