- Organize and stock the bar before and during shifts
- Have a working knowledge of the menu and its ingredients
- Assist bartenders and servers with drink orders
- Maintain bar inventory, collecting receipts, and reporting any discrepancies
- Ensure a consistent, high standard of customer service
- Follow all health and safety regulations and alcohol compliance laws
- Participate in staff preshift meetings
- Be knowledgeable on allergies and sensitivities for all items served
- Work events if needed
- Verify age requirements for alcohol serving
- Knowledgeable about restaurant menus, offerings and promotions
Requirements
- High School education required with previous experience preferred
- Flexible availability including holidays, weekends and nights
- Ability to work in high-paced high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills; strong customer service background
- Ability to have a friendly disposition for guest relations
- Appropriately groomed for direct engagement with clientele
Work Environment
- Will be exposed to various environmental conditions such as cold due to refrigeration or heat due to hot surfaces or espresso machines
