Job Summary:
The Assurance
Manager oversees, mentors, and develops staff, while serving as the primary
lead on client engagements assigned. The Assurance Manager will focus on Audit
and Accounting, Task Management, Engagement Management, Staff Supervision,
Training and Development, and on Personal and Professional Development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively maintains the
firm’s core values and service standards.
- Drive client engagements
- Review and prepare
financial statements, footnotes, work papers, management letters, agreed
upon procedures and other attestation engagements
- Demonstrate professional
creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive
suggestions to improve client operations.
- Effectively analyze
client transactions, recognizing and resolving potential or existing
problems with appropriate research and consulting.
- Attendance and
participation in tax training as determined by management
- Participation in
professional and business organizations as requested
- Involvement in client
development and marketing efforts as requested
- Adhere to the Firm’s
quality control standards
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in
accounting from an accredited college
- CPA in the practicing
state or in the process of obtaining a transfer
- Minimum of five (5) years
public accounting experience
- Strong technical,
research, organizational and analytical skills
- Superior knowledge in US
GAAP, GAAS, GASB, and PCAOB rules and standards
- Exceptional client
service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop
and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Computer expertise
including knowledge of audit-preparation software and an understanding of
the impact of technology
- Excellent written and
verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to
successfully work within and meet scheduled deadlines
- Dedication to strong
teamwork and inclusive leadership
- Proficient with MS Office
applications such as Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
- Payroll and sales tax
experience preferred
- Experience with Audit
software, CCH Access, Workstream, Engagement and PPC is a plus
