- Greet guests with a smile and friendly demeanor on arrival
- Take and enter customer orders in restaurant’s Point-of-Sale system
- Serve food and beverages following food safety guidelines
- Accurately explain menu items, ask questions, and provide suggested menu items when requested
- Accurately total, process and collect payments from customers
- Converse with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with their dining experience
- Clean and reset tables in a timely manner
- Monitor restaurant floor for spills and other safety hazards
- Regularly inspect and stock
- Participate in staff preshift meetings
- Be knowledgeable on allergies and sensitivities for all items served
- Work events if needed
- Verify age requirements for alcohol serving
- Knowledgeable about restaurant menus, offerings and promotions
