Kennedy Children's Center (KCC) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support our executive leadership team and our nationally recognized Grow Your Own teacher training program. IMPORTANT: This position is 100% on-site and candidates MUST live in the NYC area and MUST be fully vaccinated when application is submitted. Weekly testing will not be acceptable.
Job Responsibilities will be in two major areas:
1. Executive administration:
- Act as primary administrative support for the ED, COO, and other director-level staff
- Help craft and send internal and external communications with staff, families, and the Board of Directors
- Support development activities, which may include print mail, email-based solicitations, event planning, social media, and donor follow up
- Data entry, maintenance, and report queries for multiple software programs / databases
- Assist with event coordination for internal and external events
2. Grow Your Own administration
- Act as primary liaison with GYO 2.0 (college support program) participants
- Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts at institutes of higher education
- Manage GYO's database, which will include entering and updating participant information and running reports
- Assist GYO Workforce Coordinators as needed with the recruitment and training process
- Assist with billing, contract management, and other operational tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- BA in related field (policy, communication, education) preferred
- 2-4 years of equivalent experience
- Strong professional writing and editing skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of comfort with technology. Commonly used systems include Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact, Raiser's Edge and Paycom.
- Ability to speak professionally to internal and external agency relations on a variety of business-related matters
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively, thinking creatively, and helping colleagues to achieve the agency's mission
- Speaking Spanish is a plus, though not required
