Eastern Pacific Development is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records.
Bookkeeper job duties include working to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate is familiar with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks.
Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
This role is NOT remote and is 100% on-site at the Vineland, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Daily bookkeeping and accounting functions for various business entities
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Trial balance preparation
- Monthly reporting for lenders and business partners
- Work with CPA firms involved with tax preparation and auditing functions
- Perform reconciliation operations
- Review and update financial data in databases keeping them accurate٫ relevant and fully accessible by request
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Participate in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
Requirements and skills
- 1+ years of experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper
- 1+ years of experience with basic accounting and financial practices
- Well versed in QuickBooks Contractor edition and Excel
- Strong team player skills with close attention to detail
- Good analytical, numerical, data entry and presentational skills
- HS diploma required / BSc or BA degree in accounting٫ finance or other relevant areas preferred; relevant qualifications such as ACA٫ ACCA or CIMA will be a bonus
