Compensation Analyst

Fully remote • Analyst • Human Resources (HR) • Full-Time

Salary Range:  $66000 - $73000 year

The Compensation Analyst will research job roles, research competitive markets and collate data regarding compensation

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Able to gather, organize and analyze sources of numerical information into understandable and useable templates
  • Benchmark jobs by duties, scope, competencies and qualifications against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
  • Gather data from market-based compensation surveys
  • Use spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends
  • Familiar with job descriptions and ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information
  • Able to conduct data and cost analyses 
  • Research employee benefits in similar industries
  • Advise clientele, as needed, on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures and collective agreements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Compensation Data online tools and data repositories, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

Education and Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience as a compensation analyst required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
