Steel Superintendent

MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in Mesa, Arizona.  MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.  We are very proud of the more than 135 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level.

MMI is looking to hire a Steel Superintendent to join our team.  A Superintendent will likely come through the ranks of Ironworker and foreman with rich field experience. A high school diploma or GED is essential for this position.

The Steel Superintendent needs to have these qualifications and experience:

• 5+ years of Structural Steel/Ironworker experience in a supervisory role
• 10+ years of Structural Steel/Ironworker construction experience  
• Experience in rigging, setting, bolting, anchoring, welding, erecting steel structures, and misc. metals
• Ability to read and understand drawings 
• Ability to manage field crews, equipment and cranes to meet budget, schedule and jobsite demands  
• Knowledge and implementation of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety protocols 
• must demonstrate strong analytical, communication and organizational skills and be able to complete all the tasks expected of a Foreman
• Must possess the ability to understand job site demands and deadlines and make reasonable decisions to put the right crews on task to meet client demands
• The Superintendent must be able to use or learn to use software important to the company for communication and planning such as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).  

Pay range: $80K - $90K depending on experience
