Fabrication Coordinator

MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabrication company based in Mesa, Arizona.  MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.  We are very proud of the more than 135 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level. 

MMI is looking to hire a Fabrication Coordinator who wants to work in a fabrication shop.  The Fabrication Coordinator works with multiple departments so communication is key as questions and concerns may arise.  The Fabrication Coordinator assures all documentation, reports, and project information are effectively communicated to the Fabrication Manager and VP of Fabrication Services and filed for reference.  The Fabrication Coordinator has a solid understanding of how a fabrication shop processes work from drawings to shipping and be able to work competently with programs such a as Fabsuite, Excel, Word and Outlook.  This person will review timecards and paperwork to office, cut lists, Bill of Materials and fabrication priorities and deploy to shop personnel through the Fabrication Manager and function as a support role with flexibility to take on various tasks as needed to meet deadlines.  This person will manage inventory of PPE and communicate needs to Facilities Manager and Safety Director.  This person will be help in the shop as needed.  Must be able to pass a drug test.  

Pay Range: $19 - $22 depending on experience

Fabrication Coordinator must be able to:

• Communicate well with team members
• Be organized
• Have patience
• Have some knowledge with steel (helpful)
• Sit for long periods of time
• Work with computer programs such as Fabsuite, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Eye for detail 
• Have the ability to cooperate and help the shop stay on task
• Have flexibility to take on various tasks as needed to meet deadlines
