Steel Fabrication Manager
MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabrication company based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year. We are very proud of the more than 135 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level.
MMI is looking to hire a Fabrication Manager who has 7-10 years of structural steel fabrication experience and 5 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication shop of reasonable size and volume. The Fabrication Manager should have experience with Fabsuite or any other relevant production software and be competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. The person in this role must be a team player willing to give and receive constructive feedback from other company leaders and coworkers.
The Fabrication Manager coaches foreman and skilled positions to improve skills including fitting, welding, part prep and so on. The more skillful and engaged his staff is, the more successful the person will be. The Fabrication Manager understands the importance of safety, deadlines, teamwork and the health of shop equipment. The Fabrication Manager keeps an eye on available space in which to assign work and bottlenecks that need relief and manage overtime to ensure projects are completed with projected profits. The Fabrication Manager will oversee the flow of work coming from Fabrication Coordinators going to the shop floor. The person in this role will be in constant communication with the VP of Fabrication Services and Project Managers assigned to the jobs so clear communication is key. The Fabrication Manager will lead the fabrication department with integrity for our core values and our company purpose.
Pay Range: $30.00 - $32.00 an hour depending on experience (this position will average 5-10 hours of overtime per week)
