  • There are offices in the UK as well as teams based across various locations in the US.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary objective of the Revenue Cycle Solution Specialist role is to act as the ‘glue’ between early-adopter / reference customers of the solution and the product development team, so that the company achieves commercial success for its revenue cycle management solution by delivering a fit-for-purpose solution to the marketplace that demonstrably provides value. This involves providing clearly articulated, thoroughly thought-through and valuable business requirements for implementation in the software. It also involves describing the value and capability of the solution to users in a compelling and accurate way. The role will therefore require a revenue cycle domain specialist with a structured, analytical, technology and software solutions background. The role requires a deep understanding of the following:

  • Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)- quick and reliable interpretation of electronic clinical narrative to optimize expensive CDI Specialist time in which includes identifying:
    • When to raise a ‘Physician Query’ with the Dr. treating the patient because a documentation gap is identified which might prevent optimal ICD10 coding.
    • When to raise a ‘Clinical Validation Check’ with ICD10 coders
  • Denials Prevention - processes to support pre-authorization for admission to avoid downstream clinical denial
  • Retrospective Clinical Appeals Management - processes to support appealing clinical denials after claim submission.

Highly effective interaction and communication with colleagues in the Product Management function, and detailed communication proficiency will be critical to success in the role.

The US Revenue Cycle Solution Specialist position is part of the product management function, reporting to the VP, Solutions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and articulate the company’s revenue cycle management solution strategy based on inputs from key company stakeholders together with general market and competitor intelligence in accordance with the overall company strategy
  • Ensure delivery of a compelling solution roadmap through collaboration with early adopter and reference customers and the Product Owner and scrum teams
  • Support the deployment of new solution versions at early adopter / reference customers to provide accurate and reliable feedback on product requirements to the product team and to ensure that users fully understand the capabilities of the solution
  • Provide expert advocacy in the company’s revenue cycle management offerings to support sales and marketing activities
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key customers and partners; understand their business models and goals; track key market trends and identify strategic opportunities for new revenue cycle management features and services
  • Develop excellent referenceability with key reference customers, being a strong product advocate, upholding the product strategy and avoiding the creation of idiosyncratic functionality
  • Contribute to the creation of solution collateral such as training guides, user documentation and sales/marketing documentation
  • Contribute to implementation projects, where required, through activities such as implementation consultancy and end-user training.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The role will require a US revenue cycle domain specialist with a software product, background. The role will require a strategic view as well as a capacity and a willingness to describe business and system requirements in structured detail. The experiences listed below will all have been preferably gained within a commercial environment, ideally in software product development.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analysis, software design, information science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a product management role in a healthcare-related software product company
  • Deep domain knowledge of US revenue cycle management practices of the above sectors and software solution marketplace
  • Experience of customer relationships at a senior level.
  • Self-motivated, creative, solution-oriented and focused on efficient, high quality task delivery.
  • Team player – ability to work effectively in cross functional project teams.
  • Ability and willingness to be precise and detailed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with both internal stakeholders as well as customers and partners.
