About Cactus Corn
We’re a Phoenix original (est. 1998) serving up handcrafted Southwest-inspired popcorn at big-time events and venues around the Valley—think fast-paced nights, great crowds, and a team that cares about doing things right.
Role: Food & Box Truck Operations (Part-Time)
Perfect side hustle if you like hands-on work, wheels on the road, and everything running on time. You’re the backbone of our event days: load it, drive it, set it up, clean it, reset it. Mostly nights and weekends. Starts immediately.
What You’ll Do
Warehouse & Loading
Pick product and supplies, stage loads from pick sheets, and secure cargo for transport
Operate pallet jack and basic warehouse gear; maintain tidy staging areas
Log inventory in/out; flag low stock or damaged items
Driving & Delivery (Box Truck)
Safely drive a non-CDL box truck (16–20 ft) to/from venues around the Valley
Navigate docks, tight venues, and traffic; back into spots without drama
Conduct pre/post-trip inspections; complete checklists; note maintenance needs
Event Setup & Support
Position and prep the food truck (power/generator, temp checks, equipment readiness)
Restock during service; jump on simple food-truck tasks as needed (no chef whites required)
Communicate with the Event Lead on timing, shortages, and venue rules
Cleaning, Tear-Down & Reset
End-of-shift deep clean: sanitize surfaces, mop, wipe-downs, trash, grey-water handling (where applicable)
Clean and reset box truck and food truck so tomorrow’s crew launches fast
Closeout checklists and quick photo documentation (before/after)
Light Maintenance & Infrastructure
Tighten hardware, replace bulbs/fuses, small fixes, organize cables/hoses
Report issues early; coordinate repairs with Operations
Keep safety gear (extinguishers, first-aid, triangles) up to standard
