Full-time, Salary Position
Hourly Rate: $17.50 - $22.50
Schedule: FLEXIBLE with a combination of days, nights, and weekends required

The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee and perform daily operations including general office duties, event planning and management, and HR related tasks (employee onboarding, training and payroll). This person will be a “jack-of-all-trades”, and will assist with and directly oversee the operation of our events - setting up, stocking, running, and tearing down. They will need to truly understand the balance between managing a growing team and rolling up their sleeves to get the work done.

Roles and Responsibilities
Provide superior customer service while successfully managing Cactus Corn’s sales channels
Effectively manage the client/sales lifecycle including;
Initial lead inquiry
Event planning with the client
Coordinate with & hand-off to the Event Manager & Warehouse Coordinator once the initial planning is complete and sale is won
Purchase inventory from Cactus Corn’s various suppliers and develop an efficient inventory management system
Manage the event prep checklists leading up to each company event
Oversee and assist event staff to correctly and efficiently set up each scheduled event
Venue support at Chase Field, Ak-Chin Pavilion, Phoenix Convention Center & Westworld of Scottsdale
Participate in event tear-downs including cleaning supplies and machinery, correctly completing the post-event Runsheet and transporting event materials back to the warehouse
Oversee the food truck/trailer maintenance schedule and operations
Cactus Corn recruitment efforts including creation and management of open job board postings and intial candidate interviews
Oversee the training and onboarding process for newly hired employees, including:
Processing required employment and payroll documentation
Oversight of employee orientation and training via Connecteam
Create event invoices via Square
Ensure all operations are conducted in an efficient and cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes and best-practices
Oversee the warehouse production schedule
Assist the Warehouse Coordinator, Event Manager, and CEO with additional tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
3-5 years experience in operations, specializing in people and process management
3-5 years experience in a customer services and/or sales environment
1-3 years experience in a food service or restaurant environment
Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Strong aptitude for learning and technical proficiency
Strong proficiency with Google Suite
Experience using Monday.com, Connecteam and/or Square, a plus
A forward thinking self-starter who actively seeks opportunities, anticipates issues, and proposes solutions
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, employees, vendors and other stakeholders
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Some experience driving a trailer (preferable)
