Our busy and growing real estate brokerage/property management firm is looking to add a new member to our growing team. We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant for a full-time position including paid time off and paid medical. The perfect person for this role will have experience in real estate sales and leasing office and have experience with property management accounting software.
This person will be responsible for handling a majority of the accounting for the company. Duties and responsibilities to include:
* Process and prepare accounts receivable
* Administer tenant files and security deposits in Appfolio
* Complete Security Deposit Accounting for resident move-outs in accounting software
* Maintain rent rolls and vacancy loss reports
* Set up new properties in Appfolio
* Prepare and review journal entries
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts
* Reconcile bank activity on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
* Prepare monthly sales tax returns
* Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements
* Be involved in annual budgeting process and input budgets into accounting software
Qualifications:
* Two years of accounting experience, preference for experience within Property Management or Real Estate industry
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Proficiency in Quickbooks Online required. Appfolio or other property management software a plus.
