Position at a Glance

Virtuous Software is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join its growing team. You will be joining the founding sales team at one of Phoenix’s fastest-growing tech startups. In this role, you will use your sales skills and talents to source ideal prospects for the Virtuous system. You will work in our downtown Phoenix offices and report to our Director of Sales. You'll also work closely with the sales and marketing teams to help maximize our growth. Your responsibilities will include building target prospect lists, assist in outbound marketing efforts, engaging potential prospects, and demoing the software.


  • Use skills and talents to find ideal prospects for the Virtuous system
  • Create target prospect lists and penetrate key accounts
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Perform high-quality and personalized outbound calls and emails
  • Be responsible for initial education of prospects leading to sales pipeline growth
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations with potential prospects
  • Act as a subject matter expert in our product and services
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin the sales cycle
  • Use professionalism in phone, email, chat, or any other internal or external communication
  • Embody and uphold Virtuous culture both internally and externally
  • Other duties as needed

Key Working Relationships

  • Work closely with the Virtuous Marketing team to ensure strong communication when targeting potential deals
  • Having a willingness to work on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, startup environment

Experience and Skills

  • 1-2 years of sales development or marketing experience, B2B SaaS experience a huge plus
  • The ability to be coachable and to learn and apply things quickly
  • A metrics oriented, competitive attitude
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Desire for constant growth personally and professionally
  • Relentless and a little bit competitive. Ok... maybe more than just a little competitive
  • Willingness to talk to anybody and any time with a huge smile on your face
  • A fervent passion for wearing jeans and t-shirts

Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 /per year
