As a Business Development Representative at The Rustman Agency, you will play a crucial role in our expansion strategy and be responsible for generating new business opportunities. You will contribute directly to the success of our company by engaging with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and positioning The Rustman Agency as their preferred partner for business growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients within the designated market or sector.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
  • Analyze market trends and client needs to tailor presentations and proposals effectively.
  • Manage and track the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives to optimize resource use and achieve targets.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve short and long-term business goals.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value beyond job responsibilities.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Plan approaches and pitches by working with the team to develop proposals that address clients’ needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Understand The Rustman Agency’s goal and purpose to continue to enhance the company’s performance.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role in business development.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and marketing software (e.g., CRM).
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales or marketing.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or relevant field.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Strong industry knowledge and ability to remain up-to-date with market trends.
  • Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospect new markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
