Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, or other means as necessary.
  • Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, primers, and protective coatings to achieve desired colors and consistencies.
  • Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures.
  • Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
  • Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, tape measures, and other relevant tools.
  • Ensure a clean work environment and adhere to industry safety guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and report needs to the procurement team.
  • Provide transparent communication with clients and team members regarding project timelines and progress.
  • Evaluate new equipment and techniques for better application and result in painting processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a painter with a portfolio of completed projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of painting materials and application techniques.
  • Experience in using tools such as sprayers, rollers, and brushes.
  • Familiar with safety precautions and best practices in painting processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and aesthetic skills.
  • Ability to share references of past works demonstrating your skills and professionalism.
  • Physical fitness and strength to operate heavy machinery and work at heights when necessary.
  • Commitment to safety practices and understanding of regulatory obligations.
  • Effective communication skills for both team interactions and client relations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; professional certification in painting or a related field is preferred.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor settings under various weather conditions.
  • Adaptability to flexible work schedules, including potential weekends and evenings, depending on project needs.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the painting industry.
  • It will be necessary for the interior and exterior use of ladders and no fear of heights.
