The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing SOPs, managing content quality assurance, engaging in business development, sourcing talent, performing on-page and technical optimizations, and managing robust reporting systems. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of SEO dynamics in the home improvement sector and the ability to navigate the complexities of local markets. Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored for the local markets in the home improvement industry.
- Lead the quality assurance process for content created by in-house writers to ensure it meets SEO standards and client expectations.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to SEO practices and team workflows.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities and fostering partnerships that enhance our market presence.
- Source, recruit, and manage SEO talent to build a skilled, knowledgeable team capable of executing projects efficiently.
- Conduct on-page optimizations including meta-tagging, alt attributes, and content adjustment to enhance search engine visibility and rankings.
- Execute technical SEO tasks such as schema markup implementation, site speed optimization, and crawl error resolutions.
- Prepare and deliver detailed SEO performance reports, analyzing metrics and providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and technologies to keep our SEO practices ahead of the curve.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, preferably with a focus on local SEO strategies for the home improvement industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading SEO projects and teams.
- Expertise in creating and managing SOPs related to SEO and team operations.
- Strong business acumen with experience in business development and scaling SEO services.
- Experience with on-page and technical SEO optimizations, including an understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Wordpress and server responses.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, and others relevant to carrying out comprehensive SEO campaigns.
- Excellent communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with teams and report to stakeholders.
- Demonstrable ability to train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Needs to provide proof of experience through case studies or a portfolio of previous work.
