Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts across 20-25 extended stay hotels in the region assigned. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales techniques and closing high value sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue / market segment growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market share across the region. Spearhead the sales planning for the designated Focus Hotels each month in the region, aligning resources and strategies to maximize performance.
- Team Leadership: Coach and mentor a team of Area Managers and General Managers, providing in person and remote guidance, training, and support to enhance their performance and professional growth.
- Market Analysis & Prospecting: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning; adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Lead Generation: Work with the hotel teams to help sell and close SLT Leads, Lot Drives, and any other Hot Leads uncovered.
- In Market Sales Support: Lead /assist Sales Blitz and sales efforts for existing focus hotels, transition hotels, and new hotels openings in your assigned market.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and other drivers to gain group business and long-term partnerships.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior leadership to assess progress and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and revenue management teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives and maximize overall performance.
- Social Media Support: Support and monitor applicable social media channels for the hotels, ensuring effective engagement and promotion of hotel offerings.
- Celebrating Wins: Celebrate and reinforce wins with Hotel General Managers, fostering a culture of recognition and motivation across the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of sales experience in sales management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Hospitality Sales preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multi-unit environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
- Good organization, record keeping, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Overnight travel as needed across the region up to 50% of the time. Occasionally this may be extensive travel based on business needs and travel expenses, including weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access and navigate organizational systems, sales systems, and different PMS systems for your assigned hotels.
