Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
Install, repair, and maintain water, gas, and other piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial capacities.
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Plumbing Code.
Direct and supervise the installation of plumbing equipment and fixtures.
Manage heating system installations and repairs, including radiators, hydronic heating, and boiler installations.
Inspect, diagnose, and resolve plumbing issues promptly.
Lead a team of apprentice plumbers while fostering an environment of learning and professional development.
Maintain detailed records of assignments and produce detailed service reports.
Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction through efficient and comprehensive care.
Stay informed about the latest industry techniques, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
Valid Journeyman Plumber license.
Proven experience as a plumber, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
Proficiency in using plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Demonstrated ability to lead and teach less experienced workers.
Availability to work on call and respond to emergency situations.
Flexibility to work over weekends and evenings when needed.
