Distribution Manager
Brand New Position at our Palmetto Facility. We’re looking for an experienced Hands-on Distribution Manager to oversee a consolidated brand new 25,000 square-foot warehouse which includes distribution, shipping, receiving, fulfilment and supply chain functions. This person will maintain a safe, efficient, and organized environment while delivering error free operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead all warehousing and distribution operations across a diversified finished product that includes spare parts.
- Hires, trains, directs and manages all warehouse staff, which includes pickers, packers or other positions based in the warehouse.
- Supervises employees to include the initial training of the new hires prior to actual work performed.
- Plan and design warehouse racking system and layout based on most efficient traffic and space configuration.
- Performs cycle counts to prevent inventory shrink.
- Performs and supervises the proper routing, picking, packing and shipping of orders.
- Manages inventory, controls stock outs and reduces excessive inventory.
- Oversee all inbound and outbound product shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and Genesys Industries quality standards
- Maintain excellent facility organization, proper labeling, traffic patterns, and cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Ensure all equipment, assets, and facility systems remain fully operational and properly maintained
- Utilize KPIs, dashboards, and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive improvements in throughput, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Other non-essential job duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Warehouse Mgmt. or related field)
- Min 5+ years of manager experience in warehousing, manufacturing support, or distribution, including managing 100-200 daily small package shipments (UPS, FedEx). 3-5 Weekly Skid outbound.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead warehouse team of 3-5+ employees with professionalism, accountability, and strong communication
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, MS Systems
- Hands-on operational experience, including proficiency with major forklift brands, tool use, crate/pallet building, load securing, and proper material-handling techniques. Handy with Tools and Accessories a huge plus for any facilities maintenance projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Customer service driven.

- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public-speaking skill
