The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of small-part mechanical assembly, simple wire, electronic assembly, and an acute eye for detail / quality.
- Utilize proper tools to align, drill and secure components with correct bolts and torque to specifications.
- Cut, fit, bend, and adjust parts for fit or function as desired.
- Ability to accurately follow assembly processes and read Bill of Materials.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to perform all required assembly operations in designated work area.
- Assemble parts correctly.
- Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts.
- Operate a polisher, drill press or tack welder to cut, bond and shape parts.
- Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Install various decals, pack and inventory.
- Follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Regular attendance required.
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be able to work from 2D mechanical drawings.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools (drills and calipers)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be experienced with hand and power tools.
- Must be able to read machine drawings and documentation to assemble parts.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and be easy to get along with.
- Strong communication skills
- Must possess a positive "can do" attitude.
- Must be very detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
